Go2Shell App Reviews

Little Problem

I second what Christian Gagnon said, and its a pretty obvious bug. When terminal isnt already running, this app runs the terminal, which automatically opens a terminal window at the home folder, then the app opens another window at whichever window was open when the app was run. Shouldnt be too hard to fix :). As for the app, I love it. It has saved about 15 minutes of my life so far, and a cup of coffees worth of stress.

Must have if you often use the terminal!

Ah! So simple! I found this to be something that was greatly missing in Mac OS. Thanks!

Does what it does, well

There is really nothing more to say. This is an awesome app.

It works as youd expect.

Its simple. It works. It also has a fitting icon, which youll appreciate when you place a link to the app in your Finder toolbar.

Excellent

I was looking for something like this a while ago. The fact that you can configure it to launch my favorite terminal app (iTerm2), is awesome. A must-have if you spend time at the command line.

Perfect utility

I had been using an AppleScript for this purpose for years, but it was very slow and would break with each new release of Mac OS X. This app works perfectly, is very fast, and even supports launching iTerm 2. Perfect utility, an absolute must-have for any devleoper or command-line junky.

Much better than the alternatives.

I bought the other app by mistake, thinking it was this one. Developer: How can I send you the 99¢ I wasted?

Very simple and very nice

Mac 下使用命令行工具的必备辅助。推荐!

Awesome - Perfect corollary to “$ open ."

works nice

Works smoothly with iterm. Loved it.

unsuitable icon

cdto has icon in Lion toolbar style. This app has not.

No update for Yosemite

It doesn’t work on Yosemite

Awesome

Useful app indeed. It does what I need, works like a charm in Mavericks too and more, it’s free! What do you want more? :D Thanks Alice Dev Team.

Please update Go2Shell for the new applescript syntax in iTerm2

Dear Go2Shell developers, thanks for creating such a great app. It’s so useful for developers. But with the latest iTerm2 3.0.0 beta, Go2Shell does not work properly as before. I’ve seen the issue report to iTerm2 developers and their suggestion is to reach out the Go2Shell developers to update Go2Shell for the new applescript syntax in iTerm2. Hopefully, you guys can update it to make this great app better. :)

Please update go2shell compatible with iTerm2

Symptoms A Terminal window opens up in the home directory, displaying the string cd but nothing else. The %PATH% expansion does not seem to ever reach iTerm.

Great little app

Just drug this into my finder title bar and use it whenever im browsing a folder and need to run a quick GIT command on the project or something slimlar like: sudo rm -rf /

Super useful!!!! very easy to use!

Love it! Hope I had installed it long time ago!

Just what I was looking for!

This app is very simple, but extremely useful. It does exactly what I was looking for and has made me much more productive for those times that I need a command line to do some editing.

Nice app, very handy.

Very nice app. Handy and convenient.

Does what is says. Nice work

Simple app that does exactly what it says. I particularly like the fact that it will open a shell on remote sites (ssh) or even peripherals like SD cards. Ugly logo? Sure! But the ASCII art aesthetic makes sense.
